What is Marma Therapy?

Marmas are sensitive regions that develop from the Nadis. They distribute Prana (life force energy) through Chakras and the Nadis in the body as a whole. Marmas govern the interchange of energy between the physical and subtle body.
When the Nadis (energy flow) get blocked, the organs linked with the Pranic channels become starved with lack of Prana and become diseased, or paralyzed. The ruptured Marma form easy outlet for Prana from the body and this may lead to different kinds of disorders. In Marma therapy, different kinds of herbal paste, oil massage, Pranic healing, and gentle pressure with fingers or wooden sticks are used to generate continuous Pranic flow from Chakras to body systems.
